GERRY JOQUICO

took Fine Arts studies at Far Eastern University in 1978 and was coached by renowned artist, Danny Dalena. He is greatly influenced  by painters Edgar Degas, James Whistler, John Singer Sargeant, Andrew Wyeth and local artists Bencab and Manansala.

His early works were in watercolors inspired by Andrew Wyeth's tempera paintings. He had 3 one man shows and several group shows between 2008-2010. His works layers of mesmerizing color hues remind viewers of a mirror to our culture....tempting and comforting with issues/agendas waiting to be explored.

With painting as his medium used to communicate the hidden language of the heart... He takes on mostly social and spiritual issues invoking reflections on culture focused mass.

He currently works as Design Director for a Phil'China/U.S. based company directing creatives for U.S. based trend setter DESIGN companies like Pottery Barn, Pier 1 Imports, etc.
