KEVIN DALE BALBOA

Born in San Roque, Marikina city, he graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in 2010 taking up Bachelor of Fine Arts and Design – Major in Painting.

Kevin’s art style is consistently surreal and grim – with misshapen figures usually accompanied by eerie expressions and sinister gestures. One is left to either be creeped out or be awed – or both – at what thoughts were behind that had led the artist to their conception.

Balboa has participated in a number of competitions including the PLDT-DPC Telephone Directory cover Visual Art National Competition, Shell National Student Competition and GSIS Competition. He continues to hold shows in the local scene that showcase his unique approach to contemporary art.
