VALERIE ANNE FELIZA G. VALERO
It all started from a simple piece of art to a succession of orders from a gallery owner who believed in her potential as an artist. She belongs to a prominent De Guzman – Valero clan of San Fernando, La Union. She was born on May 2 1982 to businessman/politician Bernardo L. Valero and Mary Anne De Guzman. Her Art is a self expression of her feelings. How she view things in life, how she react to things and how she touch other people's lives through her paintings. Her artwork defines who she is as a whole. Her art is not just a painting, it has a deeper meaning. From impressionism, she merged to abstract simply because she finds it more interesting.
She decided to get rid of the subject matter this time around and focused more on shapes, lines, colors and passageways, because we make our own choices in life. We make our own destiny and we are the ones who determine which path we want to go. Her art is about conviction. In 2009, she’s one of the thirty emerging and upcoming young Filipino Artists who have proven their worth in the highly competitive national and international market of art in “Unang Hayag Sining” Exhibit at Galerie Anna. They provide a fascination cross section of talent and stylistic diversity which characterizes the strength of contemporary Philippine Art. In 2008 she has a group exhibit in Shangrila Mall entitled “Arts and Soul”. She says that she will continue inspiring other people through her works and share with them her blessings.
